Math Help in Columbus, OH

The month of December is filled with abundant holiday fervor for parents and students alike.  It begins long before the schools' annual holiday break and its effects linger well into the new year.  Without question, getting a week or two of rest and rejuvenation at this time is good for the mind and soul.

This year, many schools are closed from December 24th through January 4th with students returning Monday the 7th. However, a few school districts have chosen to reopen prior to the 7th.  Below is a summary of the school districts most of our students attend and their respective winter break schedule:

The Tutoring Center, Columbus will close for our winter break December 22nd through January 1st.  We will reopen on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013.

Most school districts will have summative testing prior to the winter break to evaluate student performance through the second grading period.  Upon return, generally a week or two later the second grading period ends.  Please be sure to have your student ready for their pre-break testing. It may be the last chance they will have to bring their grades up before the second grading period ends.

Starting in mid-January, the third grading period begins the much more difficult academic curriculum and the preparation for annual grade-specific testing (OAA & OGT).  If your child is not where they should be at this point, do not let them just get further behind.  Please call us to schedule a Free Diagnostic Assessment and Test Consultation so that you know which skills are holding them back. The results will be very clear.

From all of us at The Tutoring Center, Columbus we wish your families and friends a joyous holiday season, a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
